Getting started

You're set up in 5 minutes

Follow the steps below for your role. Everything you need to know to get your team clocking in today.

1
Sign up and pay

Go to acquiclock.com, click "Get started," choose the plan that fits your team size, and complete payment through PayPal. Your account activates the moment PayPal confirms payment โ€” no waiting.

You'll receive a confirmation email at the address you signed up with. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.

๐Ÿ’กNot sure which plan? Count your total employees and pick the plan that fits. You can always upgrade later.
2
Add your employees

Log into your dashboard and click Employees in the left sidebar. Type each employee's full name and click "Add Employee." You only need their name โ€” no email required from you.

Your employees will create their own accounts using your company name as a join code (covered in Step 4).

โš ๏ธMake sure you add employee names exactly as they'll type them when signing up โ€” spelling must match.
3
Set your job site GPS pin

This is the most important step. You must do this while physically standing at the job location โ€” not from home or the office.

In your dashboard, click Settings โ†’ then click "Set current location as job site." The app reads your phone's GPS and locks that point as the center of the geofence. Employees must be within 50 feet of this point to clock in.

๐Ÿ“If your team works at multiple locations, you can update the job site pin from Settings whenever you move to a new site.
4
Share the join code with your team

Your employees' join code is simply your exact business name as you registered it. Share it with your team so they can create their accounts.

5
Export hours for payroll

When it's time to run payroll, go to the Activity Log tab in your dashboard and click "Export CSV." This downloads a spreadsheet with every employee's clock-in and out times, dates, and total hours worked.

The CSV file opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or any payroll software. Filter by employee to see individual hours.

๐Ÿ’กExport your CSV regularly โ€” records are stored in your browser and could be lost if you clear your browser data.
6
What your dashboard shows you

Your dashboard has 5 sections:

๐Ÿ“Š Dashboard โ€” live count of who's clocked in, today's shifts, and total hours
โฑ Time Clock โ€” clock employees in/out manually if needed
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Employees โ€” add, view, or remove team members
๐Ÿ“‹ Activity Log โ€” full history with CSV export
โš™๏ธ Settings โ€” manage job site GPS pin and account details

1
Get your company name from your manager

Before you can sign up, you need your company's join code โ€” which is simply your employer's exact business name as registered in AcquiClock. Ask your manager for it.

โš ๏ธThe company name must match exactly โ€” including capitalization and punctuation. If it doesn't match, the system won't find your company.
2
Create your employee account

Go to acquiclock.com and click "Employee Sign Up" on the login page. Enter your company name and click Verify. Once it finds your company, fill in your name, email, and create a password.

You're added to your company's roster automatically โ€” your manager doesn't need to do anything extra.

Bookmark acquiclock.com after signing up so you can get back quickly every day.
3
Clock in when you arrive

When you arrive at the job site, open acquiclock.com in your browser and sign in. Your screen will show a GPS status at the top โ€” wait until it says "On site โœ“" before tapping Clock In.

If the button is grayed out, you're either too far from the job site or your location permission is off. Make sure your browser has location access enabled.

๐Ÿ“GPS may take a few seconds to lock in when you first open the app, especially if you just turned on your phone. Give it 5โ€“10 seconds.
4
Clock out when you leave

When your shift ends, open the app at the job site and tap Clock Out. You'll see your total hours for that shift confirmed on screen.

Important: You must be physically at the job site to clock out, just like clock in. If you forget to clock out, let your manager know so they can correct the record.

5
Enable location permissions

AcquiClock needs your device's location to verify you're on site. If the app asks for location permission, tap "Allow."

If you accidentally denied it, here's how to fix it:

iPhone: Settings โ†’ Safari โ†’ Location โ†’ Allow
Android Chrome: Settings โ†’ Site Settings โ†’ Location โ†’ allow acquiclock.com

๐Ÿ”’Your location is only checked at the moment you tap Clock In or Clock Out. The app does not track your location at any other time.
